Nowadays it has become imperative to know how to change timing chain. The timing chain will connect the camshaft to the crankshaft. With the radiator is usually a petcock which is beneath it and can be opened for the drainage process to take place. In instances where there are no petcocks, take out the lower hose with the assistance of screwdriver. Use the screwdriver to loosen the clamp of the hose and then take it off. Furthermore, ensure that you have unscrewed the cooler lines responsible for transmission in the radiator. It is found at the passenger portion of the radiator. Remove the lines by using the line wrenches. You should also make sure you have taken out the top of the hose off by pulling it after loosening the clamp. Also loosen the nuts which are in the fan pulley then take out the belts of the accessory with the use of suitable wrenches to loosen the brackets. In order to come to terms with how to change timing chain make sure you use a ratchet and a socket to take out the top of the radiator but keeping the brackets in place. It is very clear to see on the radiator"s top. These are bolted to the shroud of the radiator support and to the radiator itself. After this take up the radiator and pull it out of the car. You should use at all cost a short extension and a 15mm socket to take out the bolts that are located in the water pump which has a total of four bolts. Also remove the water pump and put it somewhere. Moreover, with the use of a ratchet and a socket remove the crankshaft pulley. You should also bend the small metal tab which is located just behind the camshaft bolt in order not to tamper with the bolt. This can however be bent with the help of a screwdriver.
